Making “Changes” for the New Year

Here we are…..2006!
How will you be taking on the New Year, returning unwanted gifts from Christmas?
Were you one of the ones who asked for scrap booking supplies for Christmas and only got plain photo albums? If you were, then you got lucky. How? Do you say? Well, now you can make that album and any other unloved gifts into you own. Decorate, Alter it and “Change” it to your liking. Maybe you just don’t like it or it doesn’t go with your décor’. Either way, if you can’t or don’t know where to return it, snap it up…alter it, make it yours. Don’t throw it out with the Christmas trash.
These albums are perfect gifts, in my opinion. When I get photos developed, I always get two sets. One set I use for scrapping and the other set goes into the album sleeves. That way, you can scrap/share the one set and you always have a spare to scan for future scrap pages.
I am a nut when it comes to Christmas, I won’t tell a lie; I love to get gifts. As I unwrapped my gift, I was checking out what I could do with the box it came in, or the paper it was wrapped in. It is almost like getting two gifts in one. I got a gorgeous box with cologne in it. The lid was clear and I have made a shadow box out of it and it stands on my dresser.
So, with 2006, along with all your other resolutions add; never leave a gift unused, scrap more, and be happy! May you inspire and be inspired throughout the year!
Here are a few ideas of items you may have received to alter:
Appointment and Address books
In wallets, sometimes they have those mini planners
Calendars
Card Organizers
Recipe Boxes
Cologne and Watch Boxes
Meal Planners
Any gifts that came in cans, tins or boxes
