Diamonds are a girl's best friend! The faux diamond technique gives a nice sparkle to cards and scrapbook pages.
Step 1: Stamp your image and color in. I use Stampin' Up!'s Basic Black watercolor pad to prevent smearing in step 2.
Step 2: Cut your image to the desired size and cover with VersaMark ink. You can dab it on with a sponge or just turn the pad over and apply it to your stamped image (direct-to-paper technique). I make sure its nice and juicy!
Step 3: Sprinkle Iridescent Ice embossing powder to the entire piece of cardstock. Shake off the excess and heat set. Make sure all the powder melts, but be careful not to overheat it.
You are done! You can use this technique for a glistening piece of background paper or the center of your project. If you are applying anything on top of it make sure you use a strong adhesive like Sticky Strip or Glue Dots.
