Paper Design Team Member since 10/6/03

Hi!! My name is Joyce and I am very excited to be the newest part of the POTH Design Team!!! I have been here for a long time (since the beginning) so I am no stranger to POTH or of its many members. It is an honor to be chosen to be part of the design team.

I am 41 years old and I live in Monroe, NC with my wonderful husband, Bill. He supports me and my hobby, or rather my passion...ok!!…my ADDICTION to scrapbooking. :D

I started scrapping about 3 years ago after our wedding and had all this extra time on my hands because I quit work one week before we got married. I was never a SAHM or a housewife who got to stay home so being home all the time with no kids really drove me crazy!!

I went to my SIL’s one day and she showed me a scrapbook she had made of her son consisting of the first 4 years of his life. She done the whole album in one weekend and I loved it so much, I decided I wanted to try this out as my hobby. I went home and started scrapping!

I got about 8 pages done when an online friend (who also had just gotten married and started scrapping) told me about the scrapbooking clubs on yahoo. I soon learned a whole new world about scrapbooking and while I tried really hard not to buy into all there is out there, I found myself hooked on a wonderful hobby!! One that I have enjoyed a lot and intend to continue to enjoy for many years to come.

I don’t have any one technique that I like. I try to use a wide variety in my albums. I don’t think there is anything I wouldn’t use in my albums IF I like it. And sometimes it goes on my pages even if I don’t like it :lol:

I have made five 12x12 albums and given away. 4 albums went to my Mom; One for each of her kids, and one I made for my great niece about the 4 weeks she spent here in NC with me last summer. Was a special summer for her and I wanted her to be able to look at the album and remember the things we did together. She was only 6 years old and that was the only time she had been away from her mom longer than one night.

I do have a 22 year old daughter, Jessica. She lives in Ohio and she is also a scrapper.
