2. From the Tools Palette, choose the Custom Shape Tool. Under the main menu bar, click on the drop-down menu to select which shape you want your stamp to be. (Hint: if you don’t see all the choices, click on the small circular arrow for the Custom Shape Picker and select “All” to see all the basic Photoshop CS shapes.)

3. Click and drag in your document to make your shape. The size of it doesn’t matter now, you can always resize later.
4. Rasterize the shape. Layer> Rasterize> Layer
5. From the Tools Palette, choose the Brush Tool. With the Brush Preset Picker, select the Brush named “Chalk 11 pixels”. You can adjust the size of the brush by moving the slider left to right.

6. When the brush preset is the size you want, click on the Eraser Tool. You will use the Erasure Tool with the brush preset to make your stamp imprint more realistic.
7. With the Eraser, randomly click on your image. Repeat this step with different brushes and different sizes of brushes until you get the affect you want. If you have a pressure sensitive drawing pen, you can create even more realistic affects.
8. You may want to add a few random ink smudges outside of your design, for a messy ink look. Just switch from the Eraser tool to the Brush tool again.

9. When you’ve got the “stamped image” looking the way you want, be sure to save the file as a png, so you can easily re-size and re-color it to suite your needs.
Be sure to experiment with all the brushes and the different sizes of brushes. Don't forget to move your brushes around the image and think about just using part of the brush. You can always undo your last step or even start over if you "mess up".
