Are you looking for a new technique to use on your projects? This technique is very simple and can add character to just about any project from stamping to scrapbooking.

Supplies:
Cardstock
Stamps
Ink
UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel)
Embossing Gun

The first step is to stamp your image and color it in with colored pencils or watercolor pencils. Next, cover your entire project using a Versamark pad. Sprinkle the UTEE over it and tap off the excess. Using your embossing gun heat the entire project using sweeping motions. Repeat the process with the Versamark pad and the UTEE three times. To acquire the crackled glass effect you need to place the completed item in the freezer for about two minutes. After pulling the project out of the freezer twist it and it will cause it to shatter.

Finally, use a sponge to apply brown ink to the project. This will draw attention to the cracks. It will also give it an aged look.
This project would be a great technique to use on both cards and scrapbooks. The possibilities are endless for the different items you could create such as heritage, masculine, and shabby type projects. This would be a great technique to use on masculine cards. Don’t forget Father’s Day is coming up!
