| Waves Layout using Transparency |
Make a great layout using transparency. There are many different themes of transparency papers made by Narratives and other companies. You could even print designs and words of your own on a transparency at home. Narratives does sell 12x12 sized transparencies that will cover your entire 12x12 layout. Don’t feel like you must simply place the transparency over your layout. Cut up the transparency and only used pieces of it if you choose. I only used one half of the entire 12x12 transparency I bought. Pictures were chosen and placed on the transparency so I could see where I wanted them to end up. I then cut out mats from cardstock for each picture. I turned the transparency over and placed the mats where I wanted the pictures to be. Using a sponge I lightly dabbed Making Memories acrylic paint in shopping bag on the transparency and over the mats. Once the paint was dry I removed the cardstock mats. I adhered my pictures to the light blue cardstock I chose for this layout being careful to line the pictures up with the “see through” holes I ended up having on my transparency. I ended up with a gauzy-looking colored transparency with clear spots for the pictures to go behind. I also had blue from the cardstock showing up around the pictures to look like they were matted. I lightly applied acrylic paint to the border of my other picture and attached it to the page. The word “waves” was cut out of the transparency and applied to a piece of patterned paper and placed behind the book plate.
