Valentine Kisses Tin

This is the top of the tin.

This is a quick, easy, and unique gift idea and can be done easily with an old watch tin, or any tin you may have lying around. The tin I altered used to have a Sponge Bob motif!

This is what the front side looks like, you can notice the silver words on each side of the metal plaque.

Supplies used:

Salvaged watch tin case
Doodlebug patterned paper: Black Cherry Stripe
Pink Gingham Ribbon: unknown
213 Non-Porous Hard Surface Ink (re-inker type bottle): Black (this is similar to StayzOn ink)
Kiss eyelet: unknown
Kiss Sticker: Stickersaurus, Together Forever
Pucker Up and Smak! Stickers by Treehouse Designs
Metal Plaque: Making Memories
Adhesives: Thermoweb Click n Stick and Mini Glue dots and Glue Lines were used in this sample.
Makeup Sponge

If salvaging an old tin, make sure it is cleaned, if needed, before beginning. Once clean and dry, pour ink onto the sponge and begin daubing a light covering coat of ink onto your tin. You'll want to do the top and bottom separately and have a scrap of paper they can dry on. I used 2 coats of ink to completely cover Sponge Bob. This ink dries quickly and within 15 minutes you can begin handling it again. I then took my sticker and mounted it onto my patterned paper, then tore around it sizing it to fit the lid of my tin. Once the sticker was placed and torn around, I set my eyelet and then adhered the whole thing onto the lid of my tin and set it aside. Next, I tore 2 long strips of the patterned paper and overlapped them slightly to make one long strip. I then adhered the long strip around the sides of the bottom of the tin. Once my strip was in place, I put the lid back on the tin and then I placed the Making Memories metal plaque just off center and put the Pucker up! and Smak! stickers to each side of it. The finishing touch for this tin was the pink gingham ribbon that I used Glue Lines to adhere all the way around the rim of the lid, tying in a knot just off center and above the metal plaque. I used a Mini Glue dot behind the knot to secure it.
Now the fun part is deciding just what you want to put into your tin!
