I set out to create some fairly non-traditional Valentine Cards this year. I intentionally set out to look for different color schemes and patterns than what are usually used for this holiday. I hope you can find some inspiration in my creations and get the chance to explore creating some non-traditional Valentines of your own.

A slider card in the closed position.

This slider card makes more sense when read and handled in person. Because it's a kinetic type card, the eye reads it differently as the card is moved. In pictures, the sentiment doesn't make much sense, but when you are holding and reading the card, the order your eye travels is this:
First, when the card is closed as above, your eye reads "You Warm". Then when you pull the slider out, your eye follows the movement and reads "My". Once your eye has read all that and taken in the slider part of the card, it rests back on the window which now holds a "heart". I hope it makes sense to everyone.

Supplies used for this card:

Coffee cup and bean stickers: Gifted Stickers, Michel & Company
Stamp: lehyle Art Center, Inc.
