On a trip to my local Michaels, I came across an isle of wooden shapes. I picked up a few thinking this would be a fun painting project for my 4 year old. Now I do have to admit that these have been in my stash for over a year now and I have all but forgotten about them. As I was taking some out for my son to paint, I took a second look and thought of a fun project to try.
All it takes is: Mod Podge
Wooden Shapes
Acrylic Paint
Patterned Paper
Stickers (optional)
Stamps (optional)

- To begin I rummaged through my scrap drawer and took out coordinating paper and stickers. I cut the paper down to the size of my wooden shape.
- Then with my finger I spread some mod podge on the shape, laid down my paper, and then placed mod podge over the paper.
- I finished it up by adding a stamped image, some stickers and a little acrylic paint around the edges.

In 4 minutes and 57 seconds, I have created a beautiful gift for a friend. An alternate idea is to make a set of similar magnets and present them in a beautiful gift basket. So go on and give it a try, I know you have 5 minutes in your day somewhere.
