This layout is the beginning of a story I am working on about my journey to finding myself. During the really hard times after the surgery (I nearly died), I used a focal point of inspiration in a story I had read about a butterfly and how the butterfly had to struggle to be strong. This explains my love for the butterfly and why you might see a great deal of butterflies in things I create. They have a very special meaning to me.

2 comments Beauty Resource id #7 Sat, 13 Feb 2010 16:46:41 -0700

by: Caitlyn

Description: Ashley found this butterfly outside in the yard one day while she was out playing. Knowing I could not fix the butterfly, I marveled at its beauty with her. Finally after she quit crying and began to laugh and smile with me, I picked up the camera to capture the beauty I was seeing. I would end up with rolls and rolls of film, and no money to get the film developed. Finally, tax season would come around and I would take a big bag of undeveloped film to be processed. It was always so exciting to come back home with a bag of memories from the previous year! I am so thankful for all of the photos I took back then. I just wish that I would have had a digital camera during that time, because I would have SO many more photos!

2 comments Ashley in Pigtails for Kindergarten Resource id #7 Sat, 13 Feb 2010 16:37:20 -0700

by: Caitlyn

Description: One of the joys of being a mother of little girls is being able to put them in overalls and pigtails!
