I had so much fun creating this layout. This was the first time I had created
a layout that showcased a list of things that I love about someone. It was
very easy to do, and my husband (the object of my affection) was so very impressed
by my efforts.
Supplies:
One 12x12" sheet Bisous Pattern Paper (P-034 Bows & Plaid - http://www.bisous.biz)
One 12x12" sheet sage green cardstock
One 12x12" sheet light green cardstock
One 12x12" sheet red cardstock
Ten small red heart eyelets
One large red heart eyelet
Letter stickers: Creative Imaginations (David Walker); Colorbok (Susan Branch); Creative Imaginations (Sonnets, Poemstones); Creative Imaginations (Bradwear)
Instructions:
1. Place pattern paper with red heart & bow side on the right and the plaid design on the left.
Tear a 2"x12" strip from red cardstock and adhere on the left side of the pattern paper, with
the long straight edge flush with the edge of the pattern paper. Tear two pieces of sage green
cardstock and adhere on top of the red piece.
2. Mat your photo on red cardstock and then on the sage green cardstock. My completed
photo mat measured 5.75" x 7".
3. Trim a piece of sage green cardstock for your title. This piece of cardstock should
measure the same width of the green on your photo mat. My title measures 5.75" x 3".
4. Create your title by placing the number "10" from the David Walker stickers on the title
block. Add the word "things" from the Susan Branch stickers, a lowercase "i" from the David
Walker sticker sheet, the word "love" from the Sonnets sheet, rub on the letters for the
word "about" from the Bradwear, and lastly, add the capital letters for the word "YOU" from
the David Walker sheet.
5. Tear two corners from light green cardstock and adhere to opposite corners on the title
block. Add one large red eyelet to one of the corners.
6. From the light green cardstock, trim ten strips that measure 4" x 1/2". On each strip,
write one thing that you love about the person in your photo. I choose to do this step on
my computer, so rather than cutting my strips first, I used my word processing program. I
reduced my margins so that I was typing in a 4" area. I also aligned my text to the left.
I printed my text on the light green cardstock and cut each section out, so they measured 4" x 1/2".
7. Using a small amount of adhesive, attach strips to the right side of the pattern paper.
Using your eyelet tools, punch one hole on the right side of each strip, and add a small red
heart eyelet to each strip.
8. Adhere your matted photo to the left of the strips and adhere your title block evenly
under the photo.
