One sheet yellow cardstock
One sheet green cardstock
One sheet green pattern paper
One sheet yellow or green vellum
Three green brads
Large folk heart punch
Instructions:
1. The first step in creating the mosaic clover squares is to create the mosaic part. To do this
you will cut a couple thin strips of each paper (excluding the vellum). With scissors, cut up
the strips into small pieces. They don't have to be any exact size or shape, just small. Adhere
the small pieces to the vellum in a random order. If you have a Xyron machine, you may wish to
run your strips through your machine so the adhesive is already on the back. Allow mosaic pattern
to dry.
2. Create three green pattern paper squares that measure 3" x 3".
3. Create three green squares that measure 2.5" x 2.5".
4. Create three yellow squares that measure 2" x 2".
5. Center and adhere one green square on top of one the pattern paper square. Then center
and adhere one yellow square on top of two two squares you just glued together. Repeat to
create a total of three matted squares.
6. With the pattern paper, cut out three "stems", which should be about 1" long.
Adhere one stem on each matted yellow square.
7. When the mosaic pattern is dry, punch out nine folk hearts with it.
8. Take the first matted square and adhere three of the mosaic hearts in the shape of
clover, covering just the very top of the stem. Repeat this with the two remaining squares.
9. Add one green brad to the middle of each clover.
